Our office desks range brings every desk we sell into one place, from single straight desks and corner workstations to bench runs for whole teams and electric sit-stand models. It suits Irish offices planning a full fit-out as well as anyone replacing a desk or two, and the guide below explains how to narrow the choice.
Choosing a desk in three steps
Most people reach the right desk faster by deciding things in a set order: the shape, then the frame, then the top.
- Shape: straight desks sit neatly in rows and facing banks, while corner desks give one person more working surface without taking up more floor.
- Frame: cantilever legs keep the area under the desk open, panel ends add a solid side with modesty, and cable managed legs carry power down inside the upright. Of the three decisions, this one has the biggest effect on how a room looks.
- Top: a cable port is the usual option, and a scalloped edge gives a channel along the back for setups where sockets or screens are likely to move.
Desks for standing and for teams
If anyone wants to work standing for part of the day, settle that first, because it narrows everything else. Our height adjustable desks cover electric desks for one person as well as shared benches that let a whole team stand.
For larger teams, bench desking seats several people along one shared frame. It squeezes more desks into a given floor and keeps power distribution simple. Runs can be lengthened with extension kits, so order with next year's team in mind as well as this year's.
Storage and home working
Pedestals bought separately can turn out too tall for the desk or a shade away from its finish. Our desks with storage are supplied with a pedestal that matches, so the two are chosen together. For a box room or a quiet spot at home, our home office desks are compact and styled to sit comfortably in a domestic room.
