Bench desking seats several people along one continuous shared frame instead of giving each person a separate desk. It is the usual choice for larger open plan offices in Ireland, because it fits more people onto the floor and makes power much simpler to run. Both of our bench ranges offer runs for two, four or six people.
Every separate desk brings its own set of legs and its own clearance. A bench shares its frame between positions, so a room holds more people without anyone feeling cramped. A long run also gives the floor a clean, ordered line.
Wiring a dozen separate desks can mean a dozen floor boxes. A bench for the same number of people is fed once, with power shared along the frame, which usually saves more at installation than people expect and looks far neater. Our cable management range includes trays, spines and linking bars made for these frames.
Extension kits are what make a bench system worth buying. If a four person run is likely to become six, order with that in mind, because a finish bought now can be hard to match later. Choose Evolve Plus for a complete system with matching boardroom tables, or Impulse Plus if your current desks are from the Impulse family.
People sit closer together on a bench, and relocating one person involves shifting part of the run rather than a single desk. Think about which teams sit together before you order. Desktop and bench screens win back some privacy, and they are best ordered with the desks so the run arrives complete.
