Panel end desks stand on a solid panel at each end instead of metal legs. Panel ends feel heavier and more permanent, and that solidity suits a traditional office well. In a compact or modern space they can look bulky, and cantilever leg desks will keep the floor visually lighter.
Points to check before ordering
- Cleaning: a panel that meets the floor is harder to clean beneath than an open frame, which is worth weighing in busy areas or near a kitchen. If a room is cleaned daily, balance that against the tidier look.
- Cabling: the panel screens cables from view, but it does not carry them anywhere. For power routed inside the frame, choose cable managed desks, or add trays and spines from our cable management range.
