Meeting and boardroom tables run from compact tables for four people up to large boardroom tables that grow with extension kits. The best advice is to plan the table around the room rather than the number of guests. Impulse, Oslo and Evolve Plus, along with High Gloss for formal rooms, cover everything from team rooms to client boardrooms.
It is tempting to order the biggest table that will squeeze in. Leave only 600mm to the wall, though, and nobody can get past a colleague who is sitting down, so the seats at each end are never used. You end up paying for ten places and seating eight.
Aim for about a metre of space wherever people need to walk. If that rules out the size you had in mind, accept that this room is right for a smaller group.
Long meetings mean laptops, and laptops mean cables trailing to the nearest wall socket unless you plan ahead. Our boardroom tables with power have Volta pop-up modules that sit level with the top when closed, so the trip hazard is gone for good.
Evolve Plus, Impulse and Oslo meeting tables are designed to go with the desks of the same name, so your meeting space matches the rest of the floor. For formal, client facing rooms in Irish offices, look at High Gloss Furniture. You can also choose your base from box and post leg tables, and finish the room with visitor and conference chairs.
