Ergonomic and posture chairs put back support ahead of everyday comfort. The Chiro Plus and the Chiro Plus Ultimate, both high back models, make up our range. They are the chairs to consider when someone in an Irish office or home study is having real trouble with their back, not simply when an old chair feels tired.
The lumbar shaping is more pronounced than on a standard task chair, and the back angle and seat angle can usually be adjusted independently. Being able to set each one separately means the chair can be tuned to a particular body. The Chiro range is a common recommendation for people at a desk all day with lower back pain.
All that adjustment is there so the support meets each person's spine in the right place. A posture chair that is set up badly gives you little more than an ordinary task chair would, so take time to adjust it with its user sitting in it.
A posture chair makes long spells of sitting easier, but it cannot make sitting still all day good for you. A sit-stand desk alongside a good chair often helps more than an expensive chair on its own, because it changes your posture through the day, and our ergonomic accessories include anti-fatigue mats for the standing spells.
