Executive chairs are designed for boardrooms and private offices, where the chair forms part of the impression a room gives to whoever sits across the desk. They share much of their engineering with task seating but add presence, deeper padding and richer materials. Our range suits directors, managers and meeting rooms in offices across Ireland.
Choosing a high back gives support to the head and neck, which pays off when someone sits in the chair for a full day. It also makes more of a statement, often exactly what a director's office calls for.
Medium backs are lower and less imposing. They tend to work better in compact offices and around meeting tables, where several tall backs in a row can overwhelm the room.
The material changes the feel of the room more than any other choice.
Bigger and more padded does not mean better for your back. You will often find more adjustment on task and operator chairs, and far more support on ergonomic posture chairs. If the person will spend the whole day at that desk and has back trouble, put support at the top of the list and treat looks as a bonus.
