Desk and bench screens clamp onto a single desk or along a bench run, giving each person a clear working area without turning the office into cubicles. The range includes Impulse straight screens and Air desktop screens, starting at 400mm high, a good fit for open plan offices in Ireland that want some gentle separation.
A 400mm screen stops papers drifting onto the next desk and shows where one workspace ends and the next begins. On bench desking, where positions would otherwise run into each other, that is a real benefit. It will not do much for noise, and you will still see the person sitting opposite.
Going higher separates people more and reduces some sound, but it also blocks light across the floor and can make an open office feel boxed in. Push the height too far and you have built cubicles by accident. Choose heights area by area rather than one figure for everyone.
Each bracket suits a particular frame and thickness of desk top. For Evolve and Impulse desking, choose Impulse Plus screens, and for the Air collection, choose Air screens. A screen from outside your desk range will usually need adapting before it sits properly.
If the problem is noise across the whole room rather than privacy at the desk, see our acoustic solutions. They work alongside desk screens rather than replacing them.
