This category covers coat storage and the useful extras that do not fit neatly anywhere else, including the Space Saver, a wall rail with five hooks. A wall mounted rail keeps coats tidy without taking up floor space, which suits the compact entrances and receptions found in many Irish offices.
Why wall mounted works better
A rail on the wall uses no floor area at all, often the deciding point in a small lobby. A freestanding coat stand takes up roughly half a square metre and has a habit of drifting into walkways. Wall rails are steadier too, while a tall stand loaded with heavy coats can tip over.
Fit it on the way in
If the rail is not somewhere people pass on their way in, coats end up draped over chair backs instead. Fit it close to the entrance, beside the lockers or near reception, where it will actually be used.
