Back-to-back sit-stand desks set two rows of height adjustable workstations face to face on one shared frame. They are the space-saving way to give a whole team the option to stand, and they suit open plan offices in Ireland that want sit-stand working without the floor area that separate desks would need.
Because the frame and the clearance around it are shared, each person takes up less floor than at an individual desk. Power is the bigger gain. A single supply feeds the whole run, which means fewer floor boxes and a much simpler installation.
With most of these systems, the two sides adjust separately, yet colleagues sit close together. When one person stands while the person opposite stays seated, the row feels different, and not everyone likes it. Adding desktop and bench screens with the desks is easier than retrofitting them once people raise it.
Two rows of desks travelling up and down from one supply carry far more cable than a static bench. Our Air range includes flexible spines and linking bars built for that job, and our cable management section covers the rest of the run.
