Stacking chairs suit any room that has more than one job. If your canteen doubles as a meeting space, or your training room needs to empty for an event, you need seats that pile up and tuck away. That requirement shapes what to buy, so a little planning first will save a lot of lifting later.
Plan the stack before you order
- Work out how many chairs need to be put away at the same time.
- Find out how many of each model will stack, and check the pile fits under your store room ceiling.
- Measure the store room door so a full stack can pass through.
- See whether the chairs can stack onto a trolley. Shifting forty chairs by hand is not a job anyone enjoys.
Comfort or convenience
To stack neatly, a chair has to be lighter and slimmer than fixed seating, and on a two hour course people feel it. If your training days run from morning to evening, ask whether the room really has to be cleared. If not, padded visitor and conference chairs will keep people more comfortable.
